Thank you for visiting our KLA Primary Music webpage. My name is Ms. Wascinski (Ms. W). I along with Mr. Eikam teach primary music at Keiller Leadership Academy. We are happy to be a part of each students path of growth and discovery thru music.
KLA students participate in music once a week starting in Kindergarten where they learn about projecting and developing their singing voices, beat and rhythm thru fun interactive singing games and activities.
First and second grade music students continue to work on developing a sense for singing and beat along with learning to read music and learning about other instruments.
Third grade music students continue to learn basic music skills thru learning to play the recorder.
Fourth and fifth grade music students work on music theory and ear training as well as learn to play the violin.
Each grade performs one to two times a year in a school wide concert on campus.
